Alan Kelly
PartnerAlan has over 20 years’ experience in advising clients on business acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, start-ups, equity investments and general corporate governance matters.
Alan’s focus is primarily on transaction-based matters, working with buyers and sellers from all sectors with an emphasis on business acquisitions and disposals as well as advising corporates on securing equity investment. In addition, he is an integral part of the firm’s Technology, Media and Telecoms and Food and Drink Sector Groups.
Alan regularly presents at seminars and workshops on corporate matters and is ranked in Chambers UK and Legal 500. Alan is described as ‘tenacious and quick to respond to any change with the client’s best interest at heart'.
Alan was shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year at the Scottish Legal Awards 2020, with his work contributing to the firm winning Corporate & Commercial Team of the Year. In addition, Alan's work contributed to the firm being Highly Commended for M&A Team of the Year (Mid-Sized Deal) at the British Legal Awards 2019.
Alan is ranked as a Leader in the Field for Corporate/M&A in the 2024 edition of Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession.
